Hi

Welcome to my blog. I'm an island girl living in the cheese state. A thrift queen & a fashion junkie.

Local

Local

Lately it has been constantly gloomy or below zero temperatures here in Madison, which makes it hard for me to want to get out of bed and get dressed.  This is why I love a nicer flannel like this one from Rails, they are ultra soft and have a casual feminine feel to it.  Leggings are the usual go-to item to pair with flannels, but jeans are a better choice if you are looking to feel more dressed up.  I layered them with these Sock it To Me thigh-high socks that I seriously cannot get enough of!!  As well as a silk cami underneath, it is a thin layer that goes a long way!  Now, for the accessories I decided to go almost all local!  I believe in buying local because it is close to home and it is important to support the local community of artisans, designers, etc.  This handmade necklace by Mikinora really makes a statement, can you believe this is handmade?!  Since there is a rusted hint on the plaid print, I decided to go with copper tones with these awesome handmade copper bowl studs from Lacey Amber, and two gorgeous rings handmade by Erin Bowe. If you are in the Madison,WI area you can find these artist at (shoo) located on State Street, as well as many other great artists and amazing shoes!  That is where I got these beautiful Bedstu boots!  The Manchester boot has lacing at the top of the shaft,  and an inside zipper which is a perfect fit, detailed with red stitching and a red sole!  I could not be happier with these leather boots which are handmade in Mexico!  Since I have not done a post with curly hair for a while now, I decided to let the curls loose! Have a wonderful weekend!
